I Forgive You.

What if the best gift we can give this Christmas is the gift of forgiveness?

Jesus was born to save us from our sins. A price too high that we could never afford to pay.

I believe keeping the flow of forgiveness by extending this incredible gift to others is a great way to celebrate and appreciate our saviour’s birth.

In the SE podcast titled “The Flow of Forgiveness” I read from Matthew 18, “The Parable of the unforgiving servant.”

Aren’t we glad Peter asked that question – “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

Listen here for the full episode.

At the end of the parable, Jesus says we must forgive from our hearts when our brother trespasses against us.

What are some of the ways you know you have forgiven someone from your heart?

A common catch on the road to forgiveness is: What if the offender takes advantage of my kindness and even makes a repeat of the error?

I believe this is where we must trust God, the bible says:

  • He is our vindicator (Psalm 135:14, Psalm 17:2…),

  • He will contend with those who contend with us (Isaiah 49:25, Psalm 35:1…),

  • Vengeance belongs to Him, He will repay (Romans 12:19, Proverbs 20:22...),

  • He is the judge (Hebrews 10:30, James 4:12…)

When we let go we can be certain to see his hand in all things.

Merry Christmas.
